JavaHope Foundation

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

JavaHope Foundation is a registered Canadian not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering lives and improving socio-economic outcomes across Canada. Named in honour of the founder’s parents, Johnson and Veronica Arowosegbe—both strong advocates of education and economic empowerment—our mandate is to serve as a beacon of hope, empowering individuals and communities, particularly within the Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) population, to achieve sustainable growth, inclusion, and equity.

We advance this mission through a range of social and economic empowerment initiatives that foster leadership, education, entrepreneurship, and community well-being. Guided by values of compassion, collaboration, and impact, we focus on building pathways to opportunity for those most underrepresented, with a special emphasis on women, youth, and children.

Through our programs, we seek to bridge systemic gaps, create access to resources, and cultivate empowered communities where every individual can thrive and contribute meaningfully to Canada’s social and economic fabric.

...How it began

Our Story

JavaHope Foundation

Having received grace and support during a major life-threatening event, Abimbola (Ola) Ifidon, author of Rescued, has chosen to use her experience to give back to the community. By sharing her story of resilience, she aims to build hope for those facing not only health challenges but any life obstacles that threaten social, economic, or general well-being.

Her passion lies in inspiring hope and resilience, particularly to improve the socio-economic outcomes of the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community. As an Economics graduate, with Masters in Business Administration Degrees from Cornell University and Queens University, she possesses a strong background in strategy and digital innovation.

A visionary, purpose driven leader, and an accomplished professional with a wealth of expertise and credentials, Ola leverages her education and experience to give back , identifying common social economic issues that especially impact the black community. She takes the lead not only to have these difficult conversations, but also identify and developing solutions to address these issues through constructive dialogue and collective collaboration.

This vison and passion is what has resulted to the establishment JavaHope Foundation, a Canadian not-for-profit organization incorporated on January 22, 2022, in honor of her parents.
