About Me

I am Abimbola (Ola) Ifidon, the first daughter of six children born to the late Johnson Arowosegbe and Veronica Arowosegbe, both of whom were astute scholars with a deep commitment to education and intellectual excellence.

An accomplished professional with extensive expertise and a distinguished academic background. I have dual Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degrees from Cornell University in the United States and Queen’s University in Canada through the Cornell-Queen’s Executive MBA Program. I am also proud to be the first Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) in Alberta, certified by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), a distinction that reflects my long-standing commitment to business analysis excellence, value-driven strategy, and disciplined transformation execution. My faith in God has been a vital source of strength and resilience throughout my journey.

In 2024, I was appointed to the Alberta Provincial Audit Committtee.

Demonstrating resilience and determination, I earned the Chartered Director (C.Dir) designation from McMaster University in Ontario while navigating a particularly challenging period in my life, further solidifying my reputation and resilience as a purpose-driven transformational leader. I have the privilege of serving on several boards and committees, including the John Ware Institute (JWI), the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), ETHNIK Festival, Java Hope Foundation, the Finance, Audit and Risk Management (FARM) Committee of the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters (ACWS), where I provide strategic advisory support and governance oversight.

As Managing Partner, Strategy and Business Transformation at ValCon Inc., an Alberta-based management consulting firm, I help organizations and individuals think strategically, act purposefully, and thrive with clarity, confidence, and disciplined execution. I am also a business and career strategist, sought-after speaker, strategy consultant, and instructor at Mount Royal University and other tertiary institutions, where I bring practical, real-life examples into the classroom to enrich student learning.

I have a strong track record of guiding leaders and organizations through change, enabling execution excellence, and building empowered teams and systems that sustain transformation.

I have also received several awards, including a Merit Award in Economics as the best graduating student in Monetary Economics, and the 2017 Stellar Award for outstanding energy and leadership on a Legal Transformation Program for a Fortune 500 company. In that role, I was recognized for bringing strategic clarity, structure, professionalism, and a clear roadmap to key transformation outcomes.

I am passionate about empowering others, and I have authored several books, including Rescued, SELL Me: Strategies for Crafting an Impactful Resume, Recalibrate , The Business of Business Analysis- From Analysis to Value Enabled Value Strategist and On the Other side of the Night.

My mission is simple: to help people and organizations think strategically, act purposefully, and thrive with clarity, confidence, and strategic execution.

I am happily married to my college sweetheart, Kenneth Ifidon, and together we are raising three remarkable sons.
